🌿 Sacred Plant Medicine
This page is a sacred teaching and educational offering.
If you feel called to participate in ceremony, please visit our Spiritual Healing Retreats & Immersions page for details and the application process.
Our Ceremonial Path
There are moments in life when talk is no longer enough.
When prayer turns into a deep cry of the soul.
When we ache for something ancient—something REAL.
Something that speaks to the body, the spirit, the Earth.
This is where Sacred Plant Medicine calls us home.
🌎 A Path as Old as Humanity
Long before there were churches, hospitals, or therapists…
There were ceremonies.
There were sacred plants.
There were keepers of the medicine ways.
Across every continent, indigenous cultures worked with mushrooms, ayahuasca, San Pedro, iboga, kambo, cacao, mapacho, and countless other sacred Earth teachers to heal trauma, connect with Spirit, and restore harmony.
These were not “drugs.”
They were sacraments.
They were living wisdom.
They were doorways to God.
And they still are.
🕊 Plant Medicine as SACRAMENT
In The Church of the Rising Phoenix, we recognize sacred entheogens (psilocybin, ayahuasca, kambo, and others) as holy sacraments—gifts from creation designed to help us awaken, heal, release, and remember who we truly are.
In our tradition, plant medicine is not recreation.
It is reverence.
It is ceremony.
It is worship.
It is a profound dialogue with Spirit.
Sacrament = A sacred act through which divine grace is received.
🌬 Why Ceremony (Not Casual Use)
Plant medicine without ceremony is just chemistry.
Plant medicine in ceremony is miracle.
Ceremony provides:
Spiritual protection
Energetic structure
Ancestral guidance
Intention & prayer
Safe, nurturing space
Integration of messages and healing
The medicine opens the door.
Ceremony teaches us how to walk through it.
🧠 Science is Catching Up
What indigenous wisdom has always known…
Science is finally confirming.
Research from Johns Hopkins, NYU, MAPS, and more shows that psilocybin and other sacred plant medicines can:
✅ Rewire trauma patterns
✅ Reduce depression, anxiety, and PTSD
✅ Interrupt addiction cycles
✅ Create lasting personality change (more openness, empathy, peace)
✅ Increase neuroplasticity (the brain’s ability to heal and learn)
✅ Facilitate spiritual awakening and life purpose
Science calls it “neurogenesis.”
We call it rebirth.
💔 Trauma Lives in the Body.
Plant Medicine Heals at the Root.
Talk therapy reaches the mind.
Plant medicine reaches the soul.
It shows us the parts we buried.
It brings love to the places we abandoned.
It releases energy stored in the nervous system.
It restores connection—to ourselves, to God, to life.
This is why so many people experience decades of healing in one weekend.
👩👦 A Message to Autism Parents
As a mother, I know the weight we carry.
The exhaustion. The advocacy. The heartbreak of being dismissed or misunderstood.
The endless research, diets, protocols… the hope and the disappointment.
Plant medicine was the turning point for me.
Not because it “fixed” my child…
But because it transformed ME.
It gave me clarity.
It cleared my trauma.
It opened my intuition.
It strengthened my connection with my child’s soul.
It showed me how to lead our healing journey with spiritual authority instead of fear.
When the parent heals, the child’s world changes.
This is why I serve this path.
🔥 Plant Medicine is not “alternative.”
It is ORIGINAL.
It is older than modern religion.
Older than government.
Older than the medical system.
It is the medicine of the Earth.
The medicine of the ancestors.
The medicine of awakening.
And it belongs to the people.
👁 Psychedelic? No.
Entheogenic.
“Psychedelic” means mind-altering.
Entheogenic means “to generate the divine within.”
These medicines don’t just change the mind.
They reconnect us with Spirit.
They remind us of our divine origin.
They return us to love, forgiveness, unity, and truth.
🌿 Types of Sacred Medicines We Honor
(Used in various traditions across the world)
Psilocybin / Sacred Mushrooms – Heart-opening, emotional healing, and spiritual insight.
Ayahuasca – Deep purge, ancestral clearing, and divine wisdom.
Kambo – Physical and energetic detox, purification, and warrior activation.
Bufo / 5-MeO-DMT – Ego dissolution and pure unity consciousness.
Cacao – Gentle heart medicine that opens love, creativity, and connection.
Mapacho / Sacred Tobacco – Protection, grounding, prayer, and spiritual focus.
Hapé (Rapéh) – Sacred tobacco-based snuff used to ground the body, clear the mind, open the heart, and prepare for ceremony. Traditionally administered through the nose in prayer, Hapé brings deep presence, energetic alignment, and spiritual clarity.
We do not use every medicine in every ceremony.
Every sacrament is chosen with intention, prayer, and spiritual discernment.
⚖️ LEGAL & SACRED PROTECTION
Religious Freedom (RFRA Law)
As a spiritual church, we stand on the legal foundation of religious exemption under the First Amendment and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA).
This allows us to work with sacramental plant medicines as part of our sincerely held religious practice.
We do not treat these as commodities or products.
We treat them as sacred sacraments in the context of worship and spiritual healing.
This is a holy responsibility—one we take with the deepest reverence.
🛡 Safety, Screening & Integrity
This path is powerful—and not for everyone.
That is why we:
✅ Membership required in the church
✅ Use application and discernment processes
✅ Conduct personal interviews
✅ Review physical, emotional, and spiritual readiness
✅ Offer preparation and integration guidance
✅ Maintain small, clergy-led containers
✅ Protect confidentiality and energetic safety
This is not “come take a trip.”
This is enter the temple.
🌀 Ceremony is Not a Moment.
It is a Journey.
Preparation is sacred.
The ceremony is the activation.
Integration is where the miracle becomes reality.
We walk with you before, during, and after.
We are not just facilitators.
We are family.
🔥 Sovereignty, Freedom & Truth
We live in a time when systems are collapsing…
But Spirit is rising.
People are remembering their power.
Families are reclaiming their health.
Souls are breaking free from shame, silence, and fear.
Plant medicine is not the “danger.”
Disconnection is the danger.
Plant medicine restores CONNECTION:
✅ To Spirit
✅ To Self
✅ To Body
✅ To Purpose
✅ To Community
✅ To TRUTH
And once you remember who you are…
You are FREE.
🕊 If You Feel the Call
Plant medicine will never chase you.
It whispers.
It waits.
It invites.
And when your soul says “It’s time”…
the path appears.
If this page speaks to your spirit… it may already be calling.
Take your time.
Pray.
Listen.
When you are ready to explore this path within a safe, sacred, clergy-led ceremonial container…
